Terms of Service
Last Updated: November 22, 2025
1. Agreement to Terms
When you use ClipTranscribr ("we," "our," or "the Service"), you're agreeing to follow these Terms of Service. If these terms don't work for you, please don't use our Service.
2. What Our Service Does
ClipTranscribr helps you export transcripts from YouTube content. Specifically, we offer:
- Transcript extraction from individual YouTube videos
- Bulk processing for playlists and channels
- Downloads in TXT, CSV, SRT, and VTT file formats
Important to know: We retrieve transcripts that already exist on YouTube. We don't generate or create new transcripts ourselves; we simply access and organize the captions that YouTube makes publicly available.
3. How Reliable Is Our Service
We provide our Service as-is, meaning we can't promise it will work perfectly 100% of the time. While we work hard to keep things running smoothly, we can't guarantee constant availability.
Our Service depends on YouTube's platform and data. We're not affiliated with YouTube or Google in any way. If YouTube makes changes to their system, it might affect how our Service works. We're not responsible for issues caused by changes to YouTube's platform.
4. Your Account
You can export individual video transcripts without creating an account. For bulk exports of playlists and channels, you'll need to set up an account.
If you create an account, you're responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential
- Everything that happens through your account
- Letting us know right away if someone uses your account without permission
5. Pricing and Subscriptions
We offer paid subscription plans for bulk transcript exports. When you subscribe, you're committing to pay the price shown for your chosen plan. We may adjust our prices in the future with advance notice.
Here's how payments work:
- Bulk exports (playlists and channels) require a paid subscription
- We may change our pricing structure with reasonable notice to users
- If you cancel, your subscription stays active through the end of your billing cycle
- Once your current period ends, you won't be charged again
6. Our Refund Approach
Since our Service is digital and you get immediate access to transcript extraction capabilities once you purchase, we generally don't offer refunds. When you buy access, you're receiving the service right away.
We will only consider refund requests in very specific situations:
- Our Service failed to extract a transcript from a video that clearly has one available publicly on YouTube, isn't restricted in your region, and isn't private or age-restricted
- You've used our bulk export feature fewer than 50 times during your current subscription
- You report the issue within 7 days of your subscription starting or renewing
We manually review every refund request. If we find evidence of misuse or fraudulent refund attempts, we may suspend or close your account.
7. What You Can't Do With Our Service
Please don't use ClipTranscribr to:
- Break any laws or regulations at any level (local, national, or international)
- Violate copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property protections
- Share or sell copyrighted transcripts without proper authorization
- Try to hack into or access restricted parts of our Service
- Resell or give others access to our Service without our explicit permission
- Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent who you're affiliated with
- Bypass any security measures or access controls we have in place
- Overwhelm our servers with automated requests or excessive usage
8. Using YouTube Content Responsibly
Our tool is designed for personal use, education, and research. You must follow YouTube's own Terms of Service when using our Service.
By using ClipTranscribr, you're committing to:
- Only extract transcripts from videos that are public on YouTube
- Follow all of YouTube's rules and policies
- Respect copyright laws and intellectual property rights
- Avoid redistributing transcripts from other people's videos without their permission
- Use transcripts in ways that comply with fair use principles and applicable laws
9. Who Owns What
Everything you see on ClipTranscribr - our website design, logos, software, and features - belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.
The transcripts you export remain the property of whoever created the original YouTube content. We don't claim ownership of any transcripts you download.
You're Responsible For Your Use
It's entirely up to you to:
- Figure out if you have permission to use any transcripts you export
- Get approval from content owners when needed
- Handle how you use downloaded transcripts appropriately
- Deal with any legal issues that come from how you use the transcripts
Copyright Issues

- A statement confirming the accuracy of your claim, made under penalty of perjury
- Your signature (physical or electronic)
10. Our Liability Limits
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:
ClipTranscribr isn't liable for indirect damages, consequential losses, or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, lost data, lost business opportunities, or other intangible losses.

- We're not responsible for what you do with the transcripts you export
- We're not liable if YouTube changes their platform in ways that affect our Service
- We don't promise that our Service will always work perfectly, that transcripts will be 100% accurate, that every video will have an available transcript, or that we'll meet all your specific needs
11. You'll Defend Us If Needed
You agree to protect and defend ClipTranscribr (including our team members, officers, and employees) from any legal claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) that arise from:
- How you use our Service
- You breaking these Terms
- You violating someone else's rights
- Your use of transcripts you've exported
12. Ending Your Access
We can suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms or for other reasons we deem necessary. We don't have to give advance warning.
We reserve the right to:
- Cut off your access to the Service at any time
- Delete content or close user accounts
- Change or shut down the Service without advance notice
You can close your account whenever you want by contacting us. If you cancel a subscription, you'll keep access until your current billing period ends.
13. We Can Update These Terms
We may change these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know. By continuing to use the Service after we update the Terms, you're agreeing to the new version. We'll always post the current version with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top.
14. Legal Jurisdiction
These Terms follow the laws of Canada. If there's a legal dispute, it will be handled in the courts of Canada.
15. Additional Legal Details
Complete Agreement

If Part Is Invalid
If a court finds that one part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest of the Terms still apply.
Enforcement Flexibility
If we don't enforce a rule one time, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to enforce it later.
Can't Transfer
You can't transfer these Terms or your account to someone else. We can transfer our rights and responsibilities if needed.
